Please take time to browse this page to understand the time and effort put in to each individual canvas piece to make it worthy of being hung on your wall. All of the ROCK MUSIC ART canvases are 4' x 3' (48" x 36") in size and come ready to hang straight from the box.

CANVAS
The canvas is a high grade acid free, matte finish, UV resistant canvas which has an ultra white base in order to accept the ink and maximize on depth and vibrancy.

INK
The inks are UV resistant high grade pigment inks, the process uses 9 colors to produce a high wide gamut of color.

COATING
Once the product is dry from the print process, the canvas is coated with a high gloss UV resistant coating (or varnish), this process seals the canvas and gives the final depth to the inks. The coating manufacturer claims that the inks will not fade and are protected from UV light for over 100 years.

STRETCHER BARS
The stretcher bars are 2" x 1.5", this gives fantastic stability to the product and makes it stand proud from the wall. The bars are made from cedar wood, they will not warp or split like most other cheaper bars used on most of the products on the market. The picture of the profile (A) shows the distance from the stretcher bar to the canvas, resulting in greater protection to the canvas due to less contact with the stretcher bar. The corners of the stretcher bars are pushed apart by non-slip adjustable tension wedges to tighten the canvas.

FINISHING
Once the canvas has been stretched and coated, the double tension hanging cord is added, this is always placed at exactly the same distance from the top of the stretcher bars on all canvases. The wall protection scratch pads are added to cover the cord fixings and also added to each corner for wall protection once hung in place. Once this process is complete the product is packed for protection and ready for shipping.

CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
Each hand crafted limited edition canvas comes complete with its own unique certificate of authenticity and the company seal is stamped in to the canvas.

WHAT IS GICLÉE?
Giclée is pronounced, "zhee-clay", a French word recognized in the fine art world as describing an advanced process for generating extremely high quality reproductions of fine artworks.

A unique feature of Giclée reproductions is the unprecedented levels of permanency that are achieved with Giclée inks. Data from the Wilhelm Imaging Research Institute states emphatically that Giclée prints are of archival quality, and reports that the permanency of the colors exceeds that of pigments used by artists on original paintings, and that by being printed on high grade acid-free art papers or canvas can be printed as limited editions. This results in a Giclée print being valued as an art work in itself.

Modern technology has now presented us with new opportunities in the printing environment. Giclée has slowly, over the last five years, been making an impact in the fine art printing world and is now setting the standard in low-volume limited editions. Each image is digitized and meticulously enhanced and improved by our technicians to faithfully reproduce the original artwork.

The Giclée process enables the artist to have far greater control over the finished product than traditional four color methods provide, allowing separation of detail for individual treatment. The printing method itself is painstakingly slow, allowing extremely high saturation of color. The final result is a vibrant, long-lasting, individually printed limited edition.
